Curtis Jackson or better known by the stage name 50 Cent is a rapper, entrepreneur, investor, and actor from Jamaica Queens, New York. 50 cent was discovered by Eminem who took 50 cent’s “Guess Who’s Back” mixtape back to Dr.Dre who was really impressed who then signed 50 cent to a million dollar contract to Aftermath/Interscope Records. Right away 50 cent got in the studio and began working on his debut album “Get Rich or Die Trying”. The album went on to sell 872,000 copies its first week in stores and was the #1 album for six weeks. Since the release of Get Rich or Die Tryin’, 50 cent has had much success besides music. 50 cent had his own clothing and shoe line entitled G-unit, he also made a hundred million dollars off his own brand of vitamin called Formula 50. Recently, 50 cent dropped from his label of over 10 years to become independent.
